Once again, Garden City Elementary will be collecting food in November and December for those people who may be hungry. Each class will have a box in which students may place donated food. There will also be a box in the main hallway opposite the office.

The food bank states that its number one most needed item is any “meal in a tin”. For example: soup, tinned pasta, brown beans, tuna and salmon tins. Boxed pasta or cereal is also important. For example: cornflakes, macaroni dinners or dry boxed pasta noodles. Students may also bring soap, shampoo or toothpaste.

Every Tuesday, starting Nov. 21, the Me to We Club will collect the food bank donations and store them until they are picked up. We will announce the total number of collected food items on Wednesday, December 6. Thank you for supporting the Garden City Food Bank Drive.
