Applied Skills - Baking/Cooking for Mom

Who doesn’t love to eat?  And, who hasn’t been treated each day to the delicious cooking of our mom?  Students in Division One have been learning food handling and simple preparation techniques and equipment used in baking/cooking.

For Mother’s Day 2022, we completed an in-class demonstration on the tools, ingredients, and techniques used in creating a basic cake.  Students took notes, observed, asked questions on the process, and sampled the finish product.  Then, with recipe in hand and support at home, students were to replicate their learning by baking a lemon cake for their mom on Mother’s Day.  Thanks, Mom!
