When you allow students to bring their world into the classroom and merge it with the curricular Big Ideas (e.g. Language and Text can be a source of creativity and joy), the possibilities are endless.

Students of Division One flexed their burgeoning minds to build digital recreations of their class novel, The Giver, using the popular Minecraft and Roblox applications to give life to a complex story. 

Our students possess skills in many areas and our challenge as educators is to allow the kids to showcase them in a variety of different ways.  It is amazing to see what our grade sevens can accomplish given the inspiration. (May 2022)
