Developing Characters: Grade 4/5 students in Mr. Wu’s class are using a variety of methods to think deeply about the characters they are developing during a creative writing activity. Some are working together and brainstorming inside (character traits and fears) and outside (appearance and actions) character traits. Others started with loose parts to ponder and create a physical representation of their characters. They then transfer these traits to a web.   What a great way to access creativity, encourage communication, collaboration and deeper thinking!
